Announcement: Seeking Postdoctoral Research Fellows


Educational Goals

To provide medical physics training especially in nuclear medicine and x-ray imaging for residents, fellows, medical students and diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine technologists in the Department include information about current research to catalyze future research collaborations

To establish a graduate degree program in Medical Imaging Physics
- to educate and train future medical imaging physicists with a broad based education in medical imaging and advance state-of-the-art instrumentation technologies, image reconstruction techniques, and image processing and analysis methods that lead to improved quality and quantitative accuracy in radiological images for better clinical diagnosis and other biomedical applications.

Future Plan

Establish a Medical Imaging Physics graduate program within the Department of Radiology
Organize and maintain resident physics training program
Program Characteristics
Graduate only program with 10-20 students
All students will be supported by training or research grants
Broad based basic education in medical imaging that includes all modalities
Highly specialized education in certain medical imaging modalities
Research training in state-of-the-art
